In this FIBS Webinar you will
- hear about the variety of water risks your company should be aware of
- find out how your company can benefit from addressing these risks
- learn about the practical tools available for companies to explore the water risks and develop robust water strategies
Water is the lifeblood of the global economy but a warming world continues to put our water supplies at risk. Whilst the price of water remains cheap for businesses, the financial impacts of droughts, floods or tighter water regulations can be significant.
Water risks – from direct operations and throughout the supply chain – are becoming an increasingly important for companies and investors alike and those that do not account for the financial value of these risks are likely to make ill-informed investment decisions, affecting long-term business growth, communities, and the environment.
Join this webinar given by CDP and WWF experts to discover what steps you can take to safeguard your company against water risks and improve your corporate water stewardship.
You’ll hear how CDP disclosure can send a positive signal about your company’s water practices to investors and other stakeholders. And learn how CDP’s water security questionnaire can be used as a framework to develop a robust water strategy by addressing water-related risks and capitalizing on opportunities.
We will also outline how WWF’s Water Risk Filter tool enables companies to explore, assess, value, and respond to water risks across their operations and supply chain, which in turn can help them improve their disclosure to CDP’s water security questionnaire.
