The Working Group focuses on the most up-to-date developments in the area of business and human rights, as well as provides its members with practical tools and best practices to use on their own human rights journey.
In this session we will focus on meaningful stakeholder engagement in human rights due diligence. We will discuss how to engage stakeholders in a meaningful manner and how this feeds into effective due diligence.
In this session we will address
- How to define meaningful stakeholder engagement?
- Why should stakeholders be engaged – standards, regulations, business benefits?
- When should stakeholder engagement be undertaken?
- How to engage stakeholders in company value chains in a meaningful manner – methodologies and tools?
- How to engage stakeholders in challenging operating environments?
The session will include expert presentations, company case, and sharing of experiences and good practices with the participants.
