Sustainability management is facing a more constrained and demanding business environment.
Shifts in the global political landscape and deregulation have challenged sustainability ambitions and created uncertainty around requirements and priorities. As a result, many organizations are facing reduced budgets and fewer resources to drive sustainability targets.
In this context, the ability to clearly demonstrate business value and focus on the sustainability initiatives with the greatest strategic impact has become critical.
In “Making the Business Case for Sustainability” training series organized by FIBS and Impaktly, we will explore practical approaches to identifying, quantifying, and scaling business value from sustainability initiatives, ensuring sustainability efforts remain impactful, improve resilience and strengthen competitiveness.
For whom
The Chief Sustainability Officers of large companies. Option for the Chief Sustainability Officers to bring 1 Executive team member with them.
The selection of participating companies will be based on the following criteria:
- Company size – We prioritize large companies (annual revenue over €500 million).
- Industry – We focus on industries with high environmental and social impact intensity.
- Nature of operations – We prioritize companies with material direct impacts and/or material upstream (value-chain) impacts on society and the environment.
Format
All meetings will be held from 9:00 to 12:00 at Hotel U14. Breakfast will be available from 8:30 onwards. After the event, it is possible to stay for self-funded lunch and continue discussion with other participants.
By applying to the group, you commit to participating in all three meetings.
Meeting dates and themes:
- 28.5.2026 9.00–12.00 Unpacking the Value Drivers: looking into cost efficiency, risk avoidance and revenue generation
- 27.8.2026 9.00–12.00 Delivering Value to Increase Commitment: driving pilots that bring concrete proof of value and scaling them for larger impact
- 28.10.2026 9.00–12.00 Scaling Business Value Delivery: establishing business development programs on the greatest topic(s) of interest & role of Sustainability
Participation fees
- The training series is free of charge for members who have subscribed to FIBS’s pro additional service (FIBSin pro-lisäpalvelu) – you can check here whether your organization has ordered the pro additional services.
- For other FIBS members, the participation fee for the series is € 1499 for one participant and € 1999 for two participants, VAT is not added to the price. You can provide your invoicing information on the registration form.
