Different business sectors are either directly or indirectly dependent on ecosystem services. Stopping nature loss and ensuring biodiversity is crucial for maintaining those ecosystem services now and in the future. Clients, policy makers and the finance sector are becoming more interested in corporate impacts and dependencies on nature.
How should biodiversity be considered in the value chain? How do we manage the company’s nature impacts and dependencies? What is the responsibility of my organization managing the value chain and upstream nature impacts?
Biodiversity and nature loss is a global issue which can only be solved with location specific actions. Current, long-value chain businesses are even more dependable on natural assets and ecosystem services found globally. To decrease the business biodiversity impacts and to gain nature positive solutions it is necessary to consider the global value chain nature impacts.
Participating in this autumn 2023 training module will give you knowledge on corporate value chain biodiversity impacts and dependencies. In the training you will learn and get tools for the value chain biodiversity management, which helps businesses reduce biodiversity related risks and will bring up new opportunities for sustainable business.
This training module includes two sessions (25.10. and 29.11.) and by signing up you enroll yourself in both sessions at the same time.
