Business and Human Rights Group aims to provide multinational Finnish companies an arena for creative dialogue, knowledge building and experience sharing in the field of business and human rights.
In the 3rd session of the year for FIBS & Enact Business and Human Rights Practice Group’s topic is ensuring effective grievance mechanisms and remedy.
UNGPs require companies to establish effective grievance mechanisms. The same is expected in CSDDD. Companies typically have their online channels for stakeholders to report on concerns and grievances, but the effectiveness of these channels and the remedy process behind remains often hazy. During this session we will discuss how to make these channels more effective and how to establish other means to promote effective grievance process within the value chain. In addition, we will discuss how to develop and communicate access to remedy?
