- Learn ways to successfully work with resistance as part of the change process
- Connect with and exchange experiences with peers from other organizations working with DEI
Resistance to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) is a common and often misunderstood aspect of the change process. It can manifest in various forms, from overt pushback to subtle reluctance, and can stem from fear, misunderstanding, or discomfort with change. While resistance may seem like a barrier, it is a natural and expected response when organizations challenge the status quo and strive to create more inclusive environments. Understanding the roots and expressions of resistance is crucial for anyone engaged in DEI work, as it provides an opportunity to address concerns, foster dialogue, and ultimately strengthen the commitment to inclusion.
At this Diversity Breakfast we will explore the challenges and opportunities associated with resistance in DEI work. Whether you’re a DEI professional or simply interested in understanding the dynamics of change, this session will provide valuable insights into how resistance can be recognized, addressed, and transformed into a driving force for positive organizational change. Don’t miss this chance to connect with like-minded individuals and enhance your DEI toolkit.
