Sustainable and responsible social, economic and environmental development have become increasingly important during the last few decades. Besides rather established corporate social responsibility thinking, researchers have become increasingly aware of unanticipated social and environmental implications and risks of their activity. This has launched discussions on responsible research and innovation as well as ethical aspects of technological development aiming to foster more inclusive and sustainable research and innovation. The RRI Event, in connection with EARTO Annual Conference 2019, discusses and brings forward various perspectives and recent experiences of implementing responsible research and innovation and offers an opportunity to discuss with colleagues from different organizations the possibilities and challenges of RRI. A responsible and sustainable way of acting is increasingly seen as an opportunity to increase the acceptability and desirability of innovations, increase their social and environmental value as well as create better sustainable business.
Please register by 11.3.2019.
